100 Year Anniversary Sanctuary Rededication and Celebration

Though Ohef Sholom Temple was originally established in 1844, the year 2018 marked a very poignant milestone for Ohef Sholom Temple’s congregation, as it was the 100th Anniversary of the Temple Sanctuary’s original dedication in 1918 and the kickoff to the 175 year anniversary of the congregation itself in 2019. In honor of this anniversary, Ohef Sholom Temple held a special celebratory service with special guest speaker, Rabbi Rick Jacobs, President of the Union for Reform Judaism. To commemorate this event, I worked tirelessly with clergy, leadership, committee members, archives, volunteers, and fellow staff to create a very special program outlining Ohef Sholom’s past and present, including snippets of Temple history and the Order of Service for the evening.
