Love Thy Neighbor

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit our area in the spring of 2020, Ohef Sholom Temple wanted to create a community initiative to support of the front line health care workers, local food banks and area food pantries, the OST Soup Kitchen, Norfolk Emergency Shelter Team (NEST), OST’s Immigration Task Force, and Norfolk’s ForKids organization, to name a few. The idea of Love Thy Neighbor is to offer as much community love and support as possible to help those in need who are now faced with the potential growing hardships of a pandemic. I created the logo for this initiative around 3 hearts interlocking, with the two hearts on the end have simple, circular “heads” to portray “neighbors” arm-in-arm with love. The typeface I used perfectly compliments the idea of “Love Thy Neighbor” as it exhibits subtle little hearts in the lettering.
